Will you come and join us once a month to eat, connect and learn together?? We are The RYSE - Radical Youth Space for Educations - and we're inviting you to join us for these 2 hr sessions on the 3rd monday of every month. This month we're watching a number of short films on Student Resistance! 🎥✊

About the Event
These dinners are our offer to the community of Stroud to come together in these times of crisis and start talking across the generations and yummy vegan dinner. This month we'll be watching a selection of short Student Resistance films from around the world with discussion and sharing between films. Curated by our own Robin we'll be looking at how the fight for education, and thus against mis-education, seems central to growing a generation ready to transform their society - and of course asking, what does this mean for us??
Everyone welcome, however the films will contain images of protest and police being bastards - we want to put it up for discretion to youth and parents but tbh its no worse than any action movie, just its real - so please do judge as works for you :)) message Robin if you have a specific question on this!
It'll be very much a space for sharing from our own expereinces and about the video/picture prompts we bring - so no need to be an expert, as we always quote from The Zapatistas - 'Between all of us we know everything' - and this is very much our attempt to bring together people from across the community to start having the big essential conversations.
