Imperialism: how does it relate to us? - RYSE Workshop for Mutiny

As part of our support for Mutiny, the RYSE is running a co-designed series of workshops to upskill folks as Mutiny Organisers + spread the ideas behind Mutiny to loads more local young people - and this session is all about understanding our world through the idea of 'Imperialism', we'll explore:

• What actually is Imperialism and how does it affect my everyday life?
• How we can use this analysis to make sense of patterns of behaviour and inequality from a local to international level - to help us know what we're really up against!
• How Imperialism is driving the recent Right Wing Race Riots and Anti-Migrant bullshit that our government and media keep churning out!

And please don't think you have to be an expert to come along, these aren't things any of us are taught about and we're all learning together - so bring you curiosity and that's all you'll need. There will be snacks but not dinner so do eat beforehand and bring some paper and a pen - and make sure you see the location info: 

• Thursday 29th - 6:30-8:30pm - at Rough Hands Coffee Shop, GL5 1RR
• Sunday 15th - 3-5pm - will be online on Zoom, we'll email you the link when you sign up!
• Thursday 19th - 6:30-8:30pm - is 'To Be Decided' but will be in Stroud centre/no less that 10 mins walk

And finally these sessions are specifically for 13-25 year olds only as they're youth-for-youth educational spaces designed to help people get involved in Mutiny - but don't worry Olders (over 25s) there will be lots coming your way soon and if you're keen to stay in the loop then sign the Declaration of Support and you'll get all the info!
