Let's talk Wealth! - July 25th - The RYSE's Monthly Dinner and Discussion ✊🌱🔥

These dinners are our offer to the community of Stroud to come together in these times of crisis and start talking across the generations and yummy vegan dinner. This month we'll be focussing on wealth and tryna have some hard/loving conversations about money aided by both yummy food and some of the powerful work being done by both the Resource Justice crew and the Highland Folk School donor education program. 

We think its essential that we begin to break our culture's taboos around discussing wealth and money - and so with love we thought we'd start over dinner. Access to capital is such a piece of power is our world, it can be the difference between food and hunger, warmth and cold, being valued or seen as 'a good for nothing layabout' - and our silence on the issue only allows such dynamics to persist. We know it isn't easy or comfortable but we need to start this conversation if we are to work tangibly on generational, class, race, gender, and more power divides - so come join! 

It'll be very much a space for sharing from our own experiences and about the video/picture prompts we bring - so no need to be an expert, as we always quote from The Zapatistas - 'Between all of us we know everything' - and this is very much our attempt to bring together people from across the community to start having the big essential conversations.
