About the Event
In the digital age our generation has grown up with film - its gone from being the new thing to literally everywhere and is by far the most popular form of media. At Radical Restart we love films - we love the way they bring stories to life, give us glimpses into completely different realities and well you do look a bit weird eating popcorn while reading the newspaper...
This week we'll be watching She's Beautiful When She's Angry - its a great look back at the feminist movement that exploded in the US during the 60s and 70s - its based around people's stories and reflections so carries a very human element and is super watchable! There are some great moments that highlight not just the massive impacts this transformative moment had, but also the internal tensions and learnings within the movment itself - from asserting black feminism to the need for more radical action, this is a very insider look to a transformative movement!
This is one of the amazing films we want to watch and these sessions are our invitation to come join in - we'll watch the films, have some discussion and get to know each other. If you haven't been to any of our events before this is a great way to get involved and meet some of the young people already engaged - hit the RSVP above and we'll see you there!
