TEMPLATE - Youth Starter - 'What even is Youth anyways?!'

So you're interested in our workshop? Great - let me explain a little mroe about it!

From the youth climate strikers to the revolutionary youth of the Arab Spring, the word 'youth' is everpresent when young people rise up and demand change - or when we're getting drunk and skateboarding... - generally when young people start 'misbehaving' then out comes the label of youth. But why? It's a title some of us embrace and others distance themselves from - but its not something we ever really talk about. 

It would be crazy for a women's group to not talk about what it meant to hold that identity - or for a group of black activists to not talk about the social ideas of blackness - these concepts are integral to why they organise as they do and how they build their group identities. 

At Radical Restart we believe in the power of youth, its kind of our thing, and as we welcome other young people into the proejct we want to talk about what this really means - about why we believe in youth and what that means for our activism - this session is our invitation to start these conversations.
